HARI KEMERDEKAAN MALAYSIA KE-55
Tanggal Tiga Puluh Satu
Bulan Lapan
Lima Puluh Tujuh
Merdeka! Merdeka!
Tetaplah Merdeka.
Ia pasti menjadi sejarah.
Walau bagaimanapun, saya tetap Anak Malaysia! Saya cintakan Malaysia (atas sebab-sebab lain)!
Selamat Menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan Malaysia Ke-55.

BABY JOURNAL IS UP
Hubby & I bought a baby journal to record basically everything about 囡囡. We are forgetful parents but never wish to pass out a single memory about her. I guess it must be useful to us when we grow older and 囡囡 grows bigger, it does bring back memories. We will try to keep the journal for as long as we could possibly do.
We are not hoping to let 囡囡 knows how much we have sacrificed for her through the journal. Our love to her is unconditional and it can't be described into words and penned down in the journal. Love is a feeling that we wish to let her feel through us, through our actions towards her :)
So far, we have put in all her scanning and the shortlisted names to choose from and the shopping list that we have prepared. We will keep on updating whenever there are new milestones :)
LONG ABANDONED TASK
At last...
I always wanted to cleanse all my makeup brushes but I am just to lazy these days...
Well, hubby is off to work and I am home alone today. In between cleansing my makeup brushes and drawing workflows, I prefer the cleansing. Hahaha...
This is why I get this done... :)

SARAWAK KOLO MEE
I never know myself would love this food so much. I can have this for breakfast for 3 consecutive days.
勁!!!
回到三國腿蛋治
This was my dinner last night as I didn't follow hubby back to in-law home for dinner. I had to work from home following a surprise news from my boss in the morning. Grabbed some ingredients from Jusco after my pre-natal checkup, I decided to imitate the 腿蛋治 from the TVBI drama - 回到三國. Hahaha...
I innovated the fried egg by putting a slice of cheese on top, hmm... it tastes good... Coupled with fresh extracted orange juice - perfect combination! Yummy!!! I am so satisfied with the cooking and the taste.
It's my first attempt frying an egg with cheese on top, hmm... not bad... Hahaha...
A NEW DRESS FOR GIRL GIRL
At last, we have delivered our promise - to get Girl Girl a dress. We got this from Mothercare @ KLCC. Both of us love this little dress so much and so coincidence, the store is having a 20% discount storewide.
Yahoo!!! This is the very first dress we get for you Girl Girl, hope you will like it too.
IT'S A BLESSED SURPRISE - WK 19
Indeed, it's really a good choice of Ah Bee to keep the secret of his/she gender for another 4 weeks, this is truly a surprise birthday present made specially by Ah Bee to hubby. Ah Bee has yet to enter into our lives (physically), SHE has already know the 'tactic' to 冧 hubby.
Dr. confirms that Ah Bee is a GIRL!!! Yeah, hubby's birthday wish has come true, I know he has been dreaming and wishing for a baby girl all his life and now, it has come true!!! We must thank Ah Bee, NO... We shall change the calling to Girl Girl, for her surprise. Although Dr. mentioned 95%, we already believing it!
Not forgetting to thank the beloved God up in heaven, for not letting go hubby's dream of a baby girl, although he is not a followers of God. I must be grateful and thankful for His blessing on our family extension, moreover, a long awaiting baby girl to bring more joy and happiness into the family.
Hmm... A deal has been carried out and it's time for us to deliver our promise. We shop around Jusco for a new dress for Girl Girl. Sigh... We can't get anything for Girl Girl in the end...
So sorry, Girl... We try shop at other places, okay... Daddy & Mummy owe you a new dress ya.
SHY OR SURPRISE - WK 15
Dr. does a detailed scanning on everything of Ah Bee's, his/her head, arms & fingers, legs & toes, stomach, heartbeat, facial and gender. Aiks... Ah Bee is moving faster than the scanner, whenever Dr. wants to scan and see his/her gender, he/she quickly turns away from the scanner. He/She is like playing with the device. Dr. also 'beh-tahan' and lightly beats on his/her buttock with the scanner. Hahaha... In the end, Dr. gives up, disappointed he says, let's try to scan his/she gender again during the next round of checkup.
OK... No problem :(
I have actually spoken to Ah Bee before the checkup (or even days before), hubby & I will get him/her something if he/she reveals his/her gender to us during the checkup. I am kinda disappointed too but what to do since this is already his/her decision to hide his/her gender from us (at the moment).
It's OK, Ah Bee. Mummy will treat this as a surprise birthday pressie from you to daddy. The next checkup date is a day after daddy's birthday. Remember to show us ya... *Promise & deal*
NAD
YAY!!!
The blood test results are out, everything is fine, except I need to get Rubella vaccination 2 months after my labour and good to have Hep A and B vaccinations too. As what Dr. had commented, Down Syndrome risk is low *phew*
Ah Bee, mummy is healthy too. I am sure you are too...

AH BEE IS A SUCKING PIGGY - WK 11
Guess what is Ah Bee doing? I think Ah Bee is sucking his/her thumb. Hahaha...
2D scan really can't tell us much, I just can guess what he/she is doing... Well, by seeing his/her progress in activities and size, I am sure he/she is doing fine and good in my womb.
During this round checkup, I did a special blood test on Ah Bee's risk of Down Syndrome (besides the thorough blood test that every pregnant lady has to do). Dr. commented that my current age + Ah Bee's condition (the level of his/she neck stiffness), the risk is considered low. To be at the safe side, I decided to do the blood test too (since I need to draw blood no matter what).
I told hubby that he needs to do the blood test too, he was so frightened. After confirming with the nurse, ohhh... hubby doesn't need to do the blood test. He was so relieved, I could hear him 'phew-ing'. Hahaha... This is one of his biggest phobia - draw blood!!!
Let's wait for a week for the results.

JUSCO BEATS IBEX
We continued our shopping journey to a neighbourhood Jusco. We intended to get a baby carrier and infant bath tub from Jusco, nice discount at 20% each. At last, we managed to buy both items and again, something extra. Hehehe... We got the waterproof mat too from Anakku, also at 20% discount *grin*.
We have spent enough for the month of August, phew... We plan to stop for a while and continue crazily shop in September and October, so that we can rest well in November while awaiting for the arrival of Ah Bee.
But deep down in my heart... Shall we go to the expo in November? Hehehe...

PARKSON BEATS IBEX
Hubby & I suppose to be able to shop more from IBEX than normal departmental stores, since IBEX is the International Baby Expo, man! In the end... We bought more from Jusco and Parkson.
Successfully bought the Little Bean sterilizer and food warmer set at RM150.00. This is the only item bought according to the plan. Hahaha...
Besides that, we bought 4-4oz & 2-8oz Classic Avent feeding bottles instead of the planned. Hmm... Guess the exhibitor played an important role in convincing us. Hahaha...
We couldn't get the drying rack, sob... sold out!!!
Everything seemed out of the plan & shopping list, we of course bought something extra. Hahaha... We bought 2 jumpsuits and 2 pairs of top & long pants for Ah Bee at only RM12-RM15 per pc & pair. As a motivation for myself to breastfeed Ah Bee, I have bought some gears - breast mile storage bags & bottles. From the beginning, we don't intend to wrap Ah Bee with disposable diapers for 24 hours, so we bought 2 sets of cloth diapers with free 2 insets.
A lucky tips from a friend who we met in the expo, a full breastfeeding mummy, that I should get myself an electrical breast pump instead of a manual one, in consideration of the pumping time and the tight schedule awaiting for my comeback after confinement. Hmm... I didn't immediately change my mind for an electrical breast pump, in view of the price difference. After discussing with hubby, we think my friend had a point there, so we decided to give up the planned rocker chair to opt for an electrical breast pump. Avent was selling at RM688 for a single pump and we think that it was way too expensive for us at the moment. We walked away...
We left the expo and headed to Suria KLCC. Let's see what we could get from Parkson or Isetan, maybe better bargains, who knows... Yes, it was a much better bargain in Parkson. We finally got the last promo pack of Madela's Mini Electric Double Pump, with free 2 storage bottles and a tube of nipple cream at RM599. Normal price for the pump already costs RM729. We were lucky!!! Yay!!! Worth to give up the rocker chair :pp
That really gave me a great motivation to breastfeed, this is so fated... :-)

SHOPPING NO MORE FOR MYSELF
Recently I have been talking about shopping a lot, really a lot!!! My shopping list is growing longer and longer each day, be it... a breast pump, feeding bottles, cooler bag, sterilizer, food warmer, infant bathtub, 0-3 months/3-6 months clothing, baby cot, bumper set, and the list just goes on and on... Excitement of shopping has diversified to all baby stuff!
I'm freaking out studying the shopping list, thousand of things lining up for me to put in the cart. The next coming up is bedding...
My long lost love G-Shock, baby! It has 'shock resistance' and I can't 'resist' looking at it every time I pass any outlets selling this model. I'm shocking in love with it!!!
Hubby and I went to IBEX last Friday. Hm... Meet with a friend who is going to deliver her first baby in October, who also went to another baby expo last month in Mid Valley. She commented that this round IBEX of KLCC has lesser booths and price ranges are more expensive. In fact, I'm quite disappointed too IBEX (although this is the very first time I go to a baby expo, it doesn't seem to be an event I'm expected to be in). Perhaps, the low crowd is due to Raya Season, the Malays are busier with their fasting and preparations for Raya.
We have decided on some items to buy from the IBEX, just simply I'm kinda lazy to go for another baby expo in November. I'm about to due by that time, I estimate another 2 weeks to go, I'm not sure if I will have the energy to explore and shop and I dislike to shop last minute and in rush.
I've decided to buy the Avent manual pump with a come along bottle storage. Normal price is RM269.00, now selling at RM199. Although a little too expensive than buying online, with other purchases from Avent, the bargain is still consider good.
Another item that I've decided to buy is Avent feeding bottles. I only intend to buy 260ml/9oz bottles as I see it pointless to have the 125ml/4oz bottle, in despite it's better to hold during feeding time at newborn stage. Well, Ah Bee is not going to hold the bottle at such an early stage, not a problem at all! Deal!
At first, I was against pacifying Ah Bee with a soother. After research online for the benefits of a soother, let's try using it for a minimal period. Soother actually has the effect of calming and comfort a baby whenever she feels no good. It also helps in a baby brain development, having to say that a baby has better quality rest which eventually leads to better brain development. Not sure how true is the online findings, no harm trying, I guess.
Little Bean is having good bargain too. The combination of its sterilizer and food warmer was at RM199.00, later lower down to RM169.00 and now it's selling at RM150.00. This is the best priced item that I've seen so far, so it's definitely in my shopping list.
This drying rack looks so hi-tech, a spinning drying rack. Hahaha... It looks comprehensive, practical and nice price - RM69.90 - 20%.
I've been seeing The First Year infant bathtub for quite some time and actually locked my mind buying it, although it costs a bit - RM169.90. It's sold in the fair at 30% discount and what am I waiting for?! This is it, my choice and it's on good discount! Yay!!!
Guess what... I found another better bargain from Sweet Cherry, almost half of its' price!!! Simply because The First Year is imported from the western and Sweet Cherry is imported from 'wherelse but China'. Hahaha... Jusco is selling at RM69.90 - 20%
When there is a bulk of things to buy, every cent counts. I will stick to my principle - moderate and simple.
I'm freaking out studying the shopping list, thousand of things lining up for me to put in the cart. The next coming up is bedding...

SHOPPING DIRECTORY
The Expo will be my shopping directory for the entire August. I have been saving up 'bullets' for months to spend in this month, not for myself or my beloved hubby, it's gonna be for our previous baby girl! Sorry hubby that I'm still owing you a birthday pressie. It must have gone to baby's bathtub. Hahaha...
I have prepared a list of to-buy-items for baby, reaching 50, I guess. Hmm... The shopping list could easily cost us a few thousand ringgit. An infant plastic bathtub (better quality) can cost up to RM170.00, a feeding bottle can cost up to RM50.00, a little dress to fit up to 3 months cost RM129.00! And the list goes on and on... I sweat everytime I look at the 'growing' shopping list.
I need a sure strike lottery ticket!
